Along with the stories of world-renowned explorers such as Christopher Columbus, Roald Amundsen, Robert Scott, Ernest Shackleton, Mattew Henson and Edmund Hillary, Hong Sung Taek‘s challenges were also introduced.
극지 탐험가로는 아시아인 중 유일하게 소개되어 있습니다. 이 책은 영국, 미국 그리고 세계 각지의 청소년들을 대상으로 만들어진 책입니다.
The book is designed for children and youth around the world and Sung-Taek is the only Asian introduced among the polar explorers in the book.

Nellie Huang, adventure travel blogger and author of Explorers talking about what it takes to be an explorer, what inspired her own adventures, and how shes travelled around the world with her very young daughter. I worked with the editors from DK Books to compile a list of explorers from all walks of life and different parts of the world. We wanted diversity, not just in terms of the adventurers field of interest but also cultural background. We also looked across generations, not just focusing on explorers from the past, but also shining a light on modern-day adventurers who are alive and continuing to push their boundaries today.
